One of the largest night markets in Taiwan, centered on Wenhua Road (文華路) and Fuxing Road (福星路) next to Feng Chia University (逢甲大學) in Xitun, Taichung. This was a remote suburb mainly consisting of military dependents’ villages until the school relocated here in 1963, and the stalls that set up along Wenhua Road to feed its students grew into the sprawling commercial district seen today. The university estimates around 30,000 visitors on an ordinary weekday and more than 100,000 on holidays.
