Luodong Forest Railway was a 762mm narrow-gauge logging railway in Yilan County operating from 1924 to 1979, spanning approximately 36 kilometers from Zhulin Railway Station in Luodong to Tuchang Station, where it connected to the Taipingshan Forest Railway (太平山森林鐵路). Built to transport timber from the mountains during the Japanese colonial era, the line initially handled only freight before commencing passenger service in May 1926. The railway featured seven tunnels and twenty-two bridges, with operations declining after 1976 due to reduced logging activity and competition from improved road infrastructure. Several station buildings and sections of track remain as cultural heritage sites and numerous relics have been collected and preserved in Luodong Forestry Culture Park, site of the original lumber storage ponds and other infrastructure.
