Completed in 1879 by Qing dynasty general Lin Zhongqi (林其中), who fought to suppress the Taiping Rebellion and settled here in his later years. It was recognized for its abundant heritage value in 1997 and has been lightly restored. Previously the residence was open to the public on select days but as of 2025 it is no longer accessible.
