A Tudigong shrine in the Jianzikengkou (鐮子坑口) hamlet of Fengyuan, established by Qing dynasty settlers and named “golden valley” after the lucrative sugarcane and tobacco once grown here. Damaged in 1926, it was rebuilt and expanded in 1928 by local gentry, who erected a Japanese-style torii in 1932 bearing a plaque inscribed with the phrase “self-reliance” (自力更生). It is one of three earth god shrines in the hamlet shaped by Japanese and European influences of the 1930s, alongside the neighbouring Jinling Temple.
