Former theater operating out of Zhenzhu Building (珍珠大樓), a 14-storey mixed residential and commercial building on Nanjing Road completed in 1984. The cinema opened in 1994 and closed in 2008. It was heavily damaged by floodwaters during Typhoon Nari (颱風納莉) in 2001 as several of its theater halls were in the basement or at ground level. It reopened with reduced capacity after this disaster. Also officially named Universal Theater in English. The space is now occupied by World Gym. The original ticket booth is visible on Google Street View in history mode.
