A guesthouse originally built for Crown Prince Hirohito’s tour of Taiwan (臺灣行啟) in 1923. After the war it was repurposed as a guesthouse for high-ranking members of the KMT and occasionally as an official residence for visiting dignitaries. Architect Wang Da-hong (王大閎) oversaw the construction of an addition in 1968. It was left to the elements in 1997 when the last resident moved out. Although declared a heritage property it was in poor condition in the early 2020s when restoration efforts began. As of 2025 is it still under restoration and not open to the public. It sometimes appears on lists of Chiang Kai-shek’s guesthouses but there is little evidence it was ever frequented by the late dictator.
