Qiánjīn (前金), commonly romanized as Cianjin, is one of the inner city districts of Kaohsiung, home to several government offices and the Wufu Commercial District (五福商圈). The former Kaohsiung City Council (原高雄市議會), an Internationalist-style building completed in 1966, is at the center of an ongoing conservation debate, while Lintouwei (林投圍) is an urban village frozen in time by zoning restrictions.
