Gaomei Lighthouse (高美燈塔) - Spectral Codex

An octagonal red-and-white striped lighthouse built on the Qingshui coast in 1967, the only horizontally-striped lighthouse in Taiwan. It also guided US Navy tankers offshore during the Vietnam War, which fed fuel through a buried pipeline inland to the Dayang Oil Depot. The light was decommissioned in 1982 after its apparatus was transferred to a new tower at the Port of Taichung; the grounds reopened as a public park in 2014 and the tower was registered as a historic building in 2018.
