A Hakka temple in Nancun Village (南村里) on the western approach to Puli, Nantou, dedicated to Cankui Zushi (慚愧祖師), a patriarch venerated by the area’s early Hakka settlers. A reconstruction effort stalled decades ago when the person overseeing the work died unexpectedly, leaving the temple unfinished. Years later, the site is steadily deteriorating despite occasional volunteer efforts to clean up the area and repaint the neglected building. It remains a conspicuous landmark to traffic passing along the highway.
