A more than 300 year-old temple in Guanting Village, Neimen, regarded as one of Taiwan’s principal Guanyin temples. Alongside the Guanyin the hall venerates her legendary father King Miaozhuang (妙莊王), enshrined here as Wugong Zunwang (武功尊王). A plaque inscribed zizhu shengchun (紫竹生春), bestowed in 1742 by visiting Qing naval commander Wu Bida (吳必達), still hangs in the hall and gave its name to one of the eight classical scenes of Luohanmen (羅漢門), the historical name for the area.
