A coastal fortress, also known as Stronghold 43, carved by hand into a granite headland near Renai (仁愛) in Nangan, Matsu. It was completed in 1976 to guard the Juguang Channel (莒光水道) against People’s Liberation Army speedboats together with the nearby Beihai Tunnel. Its three levels held a company headquarters, living quarters, machine gun positions, and four 90 mm anti-aircraft guns, linked by 230 meters of narrow tunnels, and it has been open to visitors since 2007.
