Established in either 1909 or 1927 (there is some disagreement among sources) by You Kunping (尤昆平) district chief of the village in Japanese colonial times. It fuses traditional Minnan architecture with Japanese colonial styles influenced by contact with the West. Former mayor You Qinrong (尤欽榮) has carefully maintained this historic residence, which remains in use today.
