Shinake Incident Monuments (四林格事件紀念碑) - Spectral Codex
四林格事件紀念碑

Two monuments near Silin Village (四林部落) marking the 1915 Shinake Incident, when Paiwan people resisted Japanese efforts to confiscate their weapons. The original Loyal Soul Monument (四林格忠魂碑), erected in 1919, commemorates Japanese military police killed in the conflict. In 2004, Mudan Township added a separate memorial honoring the Paiwan resistance.
