Keelung Shinto Shrine (基隆神社) - Spectral Codex

Site of the former prefectural (縣社) Shinto shrine in Keelung. It was established in March 1912, initially as the Keelung Kotohira Shrine (基隆金刀比羅神社), and renamed in 1914. In 1972 the site was converted into Keelung Martyrs’ Shrine (基隆市忠烈祠) and Zhongzheng Park (中正公園). Only a few traces remain: the visiting path (參道), a few stone lanterns, and a pair of komainu (狛犬) dating to the original Kotohira shrine.
