Keelung Zhupu Altar (主普壇) - Spectral Codex

One of two major ritual facilities for the Keelung Ghost Festival (雞籠中元祭), one of Taiwan’s most important folk festivals. On the 15th day of the 7th lunar month the altar hosts the main pudu (普渡) ceremony, a banquet feast for wandering spirits. The original 1929 structure in Takasago Park was damaged by Allied bombing in World War 2 and was later demolished. The current building on Shitoushan (獅頭山) in Zhongzheng Park was completed in 1974. The first floor houses the Keelung Zhongyuan Culture Museum (鷄籠中元文化館).
