Jinshan Dale Garden (金山達樂花園) - Spectral Codex
金山達樂花園

Dale Garden (達樂花園) is a former amusement park and sculpture garden in Jinshan on the northern coast of Taiwan. It opened in 1986 and closed around 1999. It famously featured approximately 30 large-scale installations by Zhu Luqing (朱魯青), also known by his English name Idea Chu, whose work was also displayed at Encore Garden in Taichung. Although the park is semi-abandoned it was still guarded in the mid-2020s.

I made one brief visit to this former amusement park in 2014, back when I was new to Taiwan. I wasn’t even sure what this site was, and soon after setting foot inside I was asked to leave by a security guard, hence the paucity of photos in this entry.
