An iconic sculpture on the southern flank of Meilunshan (美崙山) in Hualien City. The entire area was previously controlled by the military, with this bunker guarding the approach to facilities including an oil depot on the hillside above. The military presence ended in the 1990s and the site was decommissioned, which prompted the mayor at the time, Wei Mu-tsun (魏木村), to commission sculptor Yu Wang-chiu (余望秋) to create a statue of Mickey Mouse on the former bunker. The site is also referred to as Hualien Disneyland (花蓮迪士尼).
