A rare example of an original Martial Law era bridge and tunnel garrison along the Old Mountain Line (舊山線) in Houli. Previously the entire railway network was lined with sentry posts at critical junctures like the entrance to the No. 8 Tunnel, immediately to the southwest of this small base. The remains of this base were likely demolished around 2024 when a new pipeline project was undertaken in this area.
