Formally known as Gaoping Hall (高平堂), this stately residence in Guanxi was built in 1930, during the Japanese colonial era, and combines elements of Chinese, Japanese, and Western architecture. Its owner Fan Chaodeng (范朝燈) became locally renowned for raising ten sons who all earned university degrees, and in 1936 he added a garden with a pond and an arched bridge laid out by a Japanese designer. It was designated a heritage site in 2022 but remains a private residence.
