Taiwan Oil Field Exhibition Hall (台灣油礦陳列館) - Spectral Codex

A small museum at Chukuangkang Oil Field (出磺坑礦場) in Gongguan operated by the state-owned CPC Corporation. It documents the world’s second-oldest oil well and the longest-operating oil field still in production, with a history extending back to 1861. The Qing nationalized extraction here in 1877 and brought in American engineers to drill with modern machinery. The Imperial Japanese Navy assumed control of the field in 1895 and the Taiwan Petroleum Company industrialized the operation from 1903, reaching peak output in 1927.
