Not much is known about this small town theater except that it was originally located in front of Yuanshuaiye Temple (元帥爺廟) on a busy stretch of Zhonghe Road in the center of Shigui, an outlying town in Dounan. Later it was relocated further southwest near the water company facility but seemingly no trace remains of the operation. It was also known as Shiguixi Theater (石龜溪戲院), from the proper name of the settlement, and it is possible it was an open-air theater.
