A former military dependents village in Dalin, built in 1957 with funds from Soong Mei-ling’s National Women’s League (婦女聯合會) on the site of IJN Tairin Airfield (日本海軍大林飛行場). Its roughly 200 households belonged to air force and army families. Despite the remote location, about six kilometers from town, the actors Brigitte Lin (林青霞) and Sylvia Chang (張艾嘉) both lived here. Residents were relocated to Chiayi City in 2003 and the village was almost completely destroyed in the early 2010s, leaving only fragments of structures in the grass.
