A former military dependents’ village funded by Soong Mei-ling’s National Women’s League (婦女聯合會). It was built in 1957 on the former site of the IJN Tairin Airfield (日本海軍大林飛行場). Despite its remote location several famous people lived here at one point or another. It was depopulated in the mid-2000s and almost completely destroyed in the early 2010s, leaving only some trace fragments of structures lost in the smoke and grass.
