Dounan He’an Hospital (斗南和安醫院) - Spectral Codex
斗南和安醫院

A three-storey Japanese colonial era building at a prominent intersection on Zhongshan Road in central Dounan, built between 1930 and 1940. The gable bears the Chen () surname in relief, linking it to one of Dounan’s prominent families, though the building’s precise origins are undocumented. It later operated as He’an Hospital (和安醫院) and then as Wu Surgical Clinic (吳外科). The removal of the later signage has re-exposed the original plasterwork on the façade.
