A former Imperial Japanese Navy seaplane base built in 1938 in Dapeng Bay, a large lagoon in Donggang, Pingtung. Established as Donggang Naval Air Corps (東港海軍航空隊) in November 1940, it operated Type 97 and Type 2 flying boats before being renamed the 851st Naval Air Corps in 1942. In the post-war era it served as an ROC Air Force academy and cadet school until 1983. In 2003 the entire area was designated Dapeng Bay Scenic Area (大鵬灣國家風景區) and much of the original base was demolished to build a racecourse, Dapeng Bay International Circuit (大鵬灣國際賽道). Two seaplane maintenance hangars were designated a county monument in 2013. Most of the historic buildings on site are unlikely to be accessible to the public.
