Guanyinshan Barlong City Amigo Club (高雄觀音山匯智龍城聯誼會館) - Spectral Codex
高雄觀音山匯智龍城聯誼會館

An unfinished leisure complex in the Guanyinshan (觀音山) area of Dashe, Kaohsiung, formerly the flagship location of the Barlong City Amigo Club (匯智龍城人文健身休閒會館). Barlong City Amigo Club, hereafter referred to as Huizhi Longcheng (匯智龍城), did not build it from the ground up; in 2004 it purchased an already half-finished concrete shell constructed by Jinjiazhuang Development (金嘉莊開發), who defaulted and sent the property to auction around 1999. Huizhi filled out part of the shell as a five-star members’ clubhouse, completing a bowling alley among other facilities over subsequent years. The only other facility known to have entered into service is the Dakeng Amigo Club.

From 2006 the clubhouse and wellness farm network was marketed through a membership-card scheme promising investors annual returns above 20 percent, raising more than NT$1 billion from some 2,700 members before the group collapsed after roughly two years. Its executives fled the country, and the fundraising was later found to constitute illegal deposit-taking rather than outright fraud, since some construction had genuinely been carried out. The site has stood abandoned ever since, attracting Taiwan’s urban exploration community. In 2025 it was auctioned to a biotech company, suggesting redevelopment or demolition in the near future.
