A strategic hilltop at the eastern margins of Taipei Basin not far from the primary National Taiwan University campus. It is home to Huanmin New Village (煥民新村), a military dependents’ village for members of ROCAF, as well as a semi-legal shanty town assembled over many decades. In 2016 it was recognized as a cultural landscape by the city government. In the early 2020s it was partially redeveloped for tourism, much like what was done with the nearby Treasure Hill.
