An early post-war theater originally established on Zhongzheng Road around 1952 or 1954 as Nandu Theater (南都戲院). It relocated to Ximen Street in 1961 and was presumably renamed at that time. As the name (“international”) implies, it specialized in Japanese and Western films for the most part. It went out of business in 1975 after suffering two consecutive fires and sustaining heavy losses. Demolished and transformed into a parking lot but the name of the theater can still be seen on the bawan vendor (國際肉粽) next to the original site.
