A post-war apartment complex located in the vicinity of National Changhua University of Education (國立彰化師範大學) was briefly under consideration for heritage status toward the end of the 2010s. It was built for teachers at the vocational high school affiliated with the university. After it failed to pass the initial review it was demolished. In some writing it is known simply as Zhanggong Dormitories (彰工宿舍).
