Established no later than 1810, this land god shrine was originally located next to the north gate of the walled city of Changhua. Under Japanese colonial rule the walls were dismantled and the temple was eventually relocated. After suffering a fire in the 1970s it wasn’t reconstructed until 1983. This small temple is now located in an alleyway behind a commercial building. Despite its modest size the temple owns vast tracts of valuable land.
