A set of three twin tunnels, six in all, on the former Provincial Highway 14 (台14線中潭公路) in Caotun, Nantou. Shuangdong Tunnel (雙冬隧道) was completed first, in 1927, followed by Tucheng Tunnel (土城隧道) in 1932. The larger Shuanglong Tunnel was built to accommodate trucks and coach buses in 1974. Due to the rerouting of Provincial Highway 14 and the introduction of National Highway 6 this road is now rarely used, but still maintained. After rerouting this section of the old highway was designated County Road 6 and then County Road 12 in 2019. Recently it has become a popular spot for photography due to the slot canyon bisecting each set of tunnels to the east.
