A 1970s vintage second-run theater on the southern outskirts of central Bangkok. It closed in 2006 and the building remains mostly unused into the 2020s apart from a 7-Eleven convenience store that has colonized the lobby. It has the same design as Bang Pakok Cinema only the metal panels are either covered with rust or painted a very convincing shade of ruddy brown.
An oblique view of the impressive Dao Siam Theater.
A closer look at the metal panels on the right side of the façade.
Most of the right side of Dao Siam Theater.
7-Eleven has colonized the lobby of the old theater.
Rusty metal panels and modern convenience store branding.
Full frontal views of the old theater are blocked by nearby buildings.

This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there).
