A former theater in old Bangkok, now converted into a parking garage.
Queen’s Theater or Queen’s Cinema was one of three vintage standalone theaters operating in this neighborhood in the 1950s. This particular theater opened in 1954 and closed in 1987. In the years since the theater hall has been converted into a parking garage, but the original projection room and other relics of its glory days remain in place. It might have also been known as Wang Burapha (วังบูรพา) at some point.
I am a web application developer, photojournalist, urban explorer, and history enthusiast passionate about the open web and documenting my experiences on this planet. This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there). I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
