A two-storey wooden house designed by Taiwan Government-General engineer Otsuji Kunikichi (尾辻國吉) as his own residence and built sometime in the 1920s or 1930s, in a neighbourhood of dormitories for senior officials of the Japanese colonial era. Otsuji departed from the standard official dormitory plans to suit the climate of Taipei, with numerous windows, broad verandas, and layered roofs for shade and ventilation. It later housed National Taiwan Normal University president Liu Zhen (劉真), and was designated a municipal monument in 2011.
