A small stele in the hills above Sun Moon Lake, dedicated during the Japanese colonial era to the mountain and water deities (山水神) invoked to safeguard the Sun Moon Lake Hydroelectric Project. Over the decades the original stone was almost entirely buried, leaving only the character for mountain exposed. In 2016 the Xiaocao Art Academy (小草藝術學院) erected a new marker stele on the spot, adding a dedicated incense burner in 2021 during a severe drought.
