Yingge Zhonghu Coal Mine (鶯歌中湖煤礦) - Spectral Codex

A coal mine in the Zhangpukeng (樟普坑) area of Yingge, originally established in 1900 by Ōhara Chūtarō (大原忠太郎). It changed hands and names many times during the Japanese colonial era and was also known as Sanyou Coal Mine (三友炭礦). In the post-war era it was taken over by Chen Zhangyi (陳章義) and renamed Zhonghu Coal Mine. The mining permit was cancelled in 1966; today the mine portal is barely discernible, having been mostly buried during a road-widening project.
