Established by Lin Tuanqiu (林摶秋), owner of the Dabao Coal Mine (大豹煤礦), in either 1946 or 1957. Several Taiwanese film classics were shot here, including Dragon Inn (龍門客棧) in 1967. Lin passed away in 1998 and the site was leased out to a factory, with most original buildings demolished or left in ruins.
