Established in the late 1950s by Buddhist factory workers at the Joint Logistics 44 Arsenal. It was later embroiled in a massive scandal when temple officials absconded with a huge amount of money in the wake of a disastrous fire that heavily damaged an ossuary on site. By 1998 the operation of the temple had been taken over by Foguangshan.
