Remnants of a defensive gate built in 1797 by Han settlers at the entrance to the village of Shuijingzai. The gate was constructed to defend against Tayal Indigenous people and bandits after the Qing court granted the surrounding land to the Papora Anli community in 1733. Only a tiny fragment of the stone foundation survives today.
