Established as Taipei Sugar Factory (台北製糖所) in 1912. It shut down around 1943 due to raw material shortages related to the war, but it continued to be used for storage in the post-war era. Much of the complex was demolished over subsequent decades but several warehouses were retained and recognized for their heritage value in 2003. It now operates as a small park with several other relics of the bygone days of sugar production in Taiwan, including some artifacts of the extensive sugar railway network.
