A factory in Toucheng founded in 1938 as Lanyang Ceramics Co. (蘭陽窯業株式會社) by Lin Cai-tian (林才添), who later served as Yilan County Magistrate from 1960 to 1964. Originally producing bricks and tiles, the company was renamed Tienta Industries after 1945 and transitioned to manufacturing high-voltage electrical insulators (礙子) in 1961, becoming one of only two such factories in Taiwan. The factory closed in the early 2000s as power lines were increasingly buried underground.
