A monument erected in 1917 to commemorate the ongoing development of gold mines in the Jiufen area of Ruifang. It is one of five sites recognized for its heritage value as part of the Taiyang Company Ruifang Office Historic Building Complex (臺陽公司瑞芳辦事處歷史建築群).
