Established in May 1906, this small Shinto shrine was dedicated to Kanayamahiko (金山彦命) and Kanayamahime (金山姬神), deities of mining. It predates the establishment of the official Ruifang Shinto shrine and shares its name, albeit with one less character. It was destroyed long ago and no trace remains. The original site was on a hill behind Jiufen Elementary School (九份國小). Here one will find a monument to Yoshihara Suetaro (故吉原末太郎先生碑), who arrived at the school in 1913 and became its first principal when it was upgraded to Kyufun Public School (九分公學校) in 1919. The shrine stood to the left and behind this monument. Possibly known as Zuiho-sha in the original Japanese.
