An extension of the Japanese army officers’ housing around the Pingtung airbase. It was part of a wave of development around 1941 that included the future Shengli New Village and Chongren New Village (崇仁新村). After the war it was reassigned to ROC Air Force families and renamed Desheng New Village (得勝新村). The remaining residents were relocated under an urban renewal program around 2010 but the old buildings left behind had decayed too much for full restoration. In 2023 the county opened the surviving fragments to the public as the Desheng New Village Ruins Park (得勝新村遺構公園).
