Likely operating in the 1960s and into the 1970s. It was presumably out of business by 1977, when Typhoon Thelma (賽洛馬颱風) struck, heavily damaging the local market, for which the theater became a temporary substitute. Destroyed in a fire at some point later on, leaving an open space behind the main road. Generally known simply as as Nanzhou Theater (南州戲院); the formal name was gleaned from a ticket sold on a Taiwanese auction site with no other information, and local residents only speak of there being one theater in town, so this is probably it.
