Makazayazaya Shinto Shrine (瑪卡札亞札亞祠) - Spectral Codex
瑪卡札亞札亞祠マカザヤザヤ祠

A small Shinto shrine established around 1935 in the Paiwan village of Makazayazaya (瑪家), a name meaning “above the slope” in Paiwan. The shrine was built along the road toward the old Paiwanese settlement of Paiwan (筏湾), with stone steps leading from a junction to a platform with a cypress honden. The original village was severely damaged during Typhoon Morakot (八八水災) in 2009 and its residents permanently relocated to the newly-established Rinari community (禮納里部落) alongside displaced communities from Haocha (好茶) and Dashe (大社). The current condition of any remnants of the former shrine is unknown.
