A zhaitang (齋堂), or fasting hall, of the Xiantian (先天) sect of the Zhaijiao (齋教) folk religion founded in 1947 by Huang Yeqing (黃葉青) and her husband Huang Yin (黃寅). The building functions equally as a zhaitang and a spirit-writing luantang (鸞堂); Guanyin is the principal deity, but the hall is best known locally for its resident Five Officials (五府千歲). Road widening in recent decades has cut the compound down to less than half of its original footprint.
