A former Japanese colonial era communications station was left idle in 1961 when the airfroce moved to a more modern facility. One of the buildings on site was renovated into a cinema shortly thereafter, which locals generally called Diantai Theater (電台戲院). It didn’t last very long, however, as transportation connections to central Magong City improved, and most people preferred going downtown for entertainment. The site has long since been cleared and is now Suoganggong No. 1 Park (鎖港公1公園).
