The most famous golden age cinema in Lukang, Changhua. It opened right after the war, in 1946, and dominated the local theater industry for decades. It was so popular, in fact, that a second theater was built in a mixed-use commercial building next to the first: Yazhou Theater (亞洲戲院). For quite some time both theaters shared the same entrance. Both theaters were eventually demolished and replaced by the bank building currently on this site.
