A winding lane in Lukang, Changhua. It was built to protect from the at-times harsh coastal winds, or perhaps to protect against bandits. In another telling, from the legend of Yang Defeats the Geography of Taiwan (楊本縣敗地理), under the orders of Qing official Yang Guisen (楊桂森) to sabotage the fengshui of the area.
