Established in the early Japanese colonial era and absorbed into the Keelung Yan family’s Zhongtai Mining (中臺鑛業) holdings by the late 1930s, this was reportedly once the fourth-largest coal mine in Taiwan by output, employing approximately 827 workers in 1970. Located in what is now Anle, Keelung, a small hillside community now occupies the sealed Badukeng (八堵坑) portal area, with several relics scattered around the area including the mine office, bathhouse, and electrical room. Ruins of additional facilities can be found further up the hillside.
